About Emma

The question beneath my work is simple. How do we live what we understand?

I'm Emma Griffiths, the founder and facilitator behind Primal Unbound. I created this work as a grounded place for insight, the body and everyday life to meet.

Why Primal Unbound exists

I have spent a long time exploring how we come to know ourselves. What interests me most is not only the moment an idea makes sense, although I love those moments, but what happens afterwards.

We can understand a pattern clearly and still find ourselves inside it. We can know we need rest and continue pushing. We can gather practices, insights and ways of seeing ourselves, yet struggle to bring them together when ordinary life becomes busy, uncertain or uncomfortable.

I do not see that as failure. Sometimes understanding needs time, practice, support and somewhere to land.

Primal Unbound grew from a wish to bring different forms of reflection and practice into one coherent process, without turning any one of them into the answer. The Integration Spiral provides that structure. The practices, questions and frameworks used within it are there to support the process, not to take authority away from you.

I can offer structure, reflection and another perspective. You remain the authority on how your life is lived.

How I work

I bring structure, not a script.

My role is to listen carefully, reflect what I notice, ask questions and help keep the wider thread in view. I may offer education, an embodied practice or another perspective when it is relevant, but the work remains responsive to what is actually here.

We might slow something down, notice what your body is communicating, explore a familiar story or consider what choices are genuinely available now. You can question, decline, disagree or take time. Your participation matters more than following a process perfectly.

  1. Attention before assumption

We begin with your lived experience rather than deciding in advance what it means.

  2. Pacing with purpose

Slowing down is not standing still. It can create enough room to notice more and choose with greater clarity.

  3. Discernment over prescription

I can offer a perspective. You decide what fits, what does not and what you want to do with it.

What informs my work

Training matters. So does knowing its boundaries.

My experience across reflective, embodied and contemplative practices informs the care, curiosity and professional judgement I bring to Primal Unbound.

  • Qualified counsellor
  • Holistic therapist
  • Sound healing practitioner
  • Kundalini and Somatic Yoga teacher
  • Human Design practitioner

Clear boundaries

My training informs the way I hold the work. It does not turn Primal Unbound into therapy.

Primal Unbound is a personal development and educational framework. It is separate from counselling and does not replace medical, psychological, psychiatric or crisis support.

I work reflectively and collaboratively. I will not diagnose you, tell you who you are or decide which choice you should make. My responsibility is to hold the framework with care and clarity. Your responsibility is to decide how you participate and what you carry into your life.
